Vegetables and flowers mingling for pure garden joy

Today ’s photos come from Elizabeth Kellerman .

This is my garden . I call it Rainsong Garden . It is place in Zone 6b in the mountains of westerly North Carolina . These pictures are from the first class of the garden . It ’s been an amazing journey . The garden is 40×40 with 6 - foot - tall fencing . Now as I prepare for year 2 , these image bring in so much warmness and inspiration .

Sunflowers(Helianthusannuus , one-year ) with violet hyacinth vine(Lablabpurpureus , Zone 8–10 or as annual ) .

The fundamental walkway of the garden had two arches continue with gourd vine . The shade they ply was very of import during the hot summertime .

I freely intermixed bloom with vegetables to encourage pollinator and for my own joy . Here pink zinnias(Zinniaelegans , annual ) salad days in one of the bed .

This is along the inside circumference of the garden .

Around the middle of July as the sun was setting , the light refract beautifully in the humid air , creating an incredibly atmospherical setting . I grab my television camera , and these images turned out to be the best of the year . Here are zinnias and spiderflower(Cleome hassleriana , annual ) .
