Aeonium’Short Black ' is a beautiful succulentsubshrubthat formsrosettesof deep purple to almost black leave of absence at the end of the branches . It branch profusely and can uprise up to 12 inches ( 30 cm ) tall , not as magniloquent asAeonium arboreum’Zwartkop ' , but has a much better heavyset habit . Its leaf are usually greenish during the wintertime but grow dark coloring material during the summer .
In spring , yellow , star - shaped bloom appear in big conic clustering on upright stalks . The blossom chaff emerges from the snapper of the rosette , which give out after bloom .
