Flickrand Flickr Groups are very useful for see a superfluity of species shot in the their risky habitat , and plant life in secret collections . It ’s like a million garden tours , and 10,000 industrial plant society journal in full color , all came together into a lookup locomotive and then bred with Facebook . It ’s informative and fun to research online , and the quality of images and the cognition uncommitted , is far more than what one can retrieve on a dim-witted Google lookup . Plus , you could write and reach the grower in person , or inquire someone where they pick out the photo . It can be be very useful . Just about any plant kinsfolk , genus or species is represented , and if one is not , you could start out your own mathematical group or pool . There is even a group called Plant Geeks .
… and Daffodil WorldAnd .. Dogs on Roofs , but I digress .
I tend to be very combat-ready on the social and image storage web site Flickr , and then , I do n’t expend it for 5 months . And so it get , with these variety of things , but flickr is my first option for prototype sharing and research when I am front for figure and info on something the is not uncommitted on a Google hunting . For works geeks , it ’s so much more . Last week , one of my images was requested for a pool on camelia ’s called Las Flor Mas Bella ( Only Camellias ) , and … .. there are 1719 members in this exceptional grouping , with 9078 image as of last Sunday . Just Camellia images that people have taken . awful .

search Flickr can surprise even the most experienced of raiser . There are groups for most everything , and ‘ Pools ’ where members can post within a theme or case be it the ‘ What ’s in my Refrigerator threshold missive ’ pool,‘Refrigerator door artwork ’ pool . and a ‘ What ’s in my college roomate ’s refrigerator pool . But check this out … there is a pool ( chemical group ) for Lachenalia .
And , one on Hyacinthaceaeand , saxifragaceae
Flickr group are very utile for seeing other forms of the same plant you are growing , and for connecting with others who have either photograph the plant in the wilderness , or who are growing it in a collection . sure as shooting , there are some who are less experienced , or in some groups , such as BLUE heyday , are more visually orient rather than botanically savvy , but by and large , the majority of the botanical groups are composed of well informed masses who have a wealth of information . I specially like seeing the images of many of the plants that I turn , shoot in their aboriginal habitats , such as South Africa .
