Microgreens like a slightly acidic environment , so it ’s prison term to pH your water . If you do n’t know how to do this , check out my picture tutorial onhow to fix your body of water for a hydroponic grow . You ’re croak to require to shoot for a pH around 5.5 - 6.0 . Once your water is properly balanced , add around 4 cups into your growing tray .

This pace only apply if you ’re growing in loose coco coir or soil .
After you ’ve poured your pH balanced water into your tray , verify to shine out your growing media . You want as unvarying a surface as potential so all of your microgreens will grow equally .

It ’s metre to plant ! catch your seeds and jump to sprinkle them into your tray . ensure you get as close to even insurance coverage as you may . If you are planting something like basil , which has extremely small ejaculate , you ’ll ask to be especially heedful about your coverage . For larger seeds like radish or cabbage , you may take to sow more than you recall . commemorate – even though they ’re large , they still only sprout into one microgreen ! The picture show below is an example of Purple Basil and Purple Vienna Kohlrabi planted in a unique pattern . I pretermit a few spots , but once they sprout and raise it wo n’t be as noticeable .
verify to label your seeds so you may keep rail of them in yourgarden daybook .

Grab your other growing tray and spray some piddle on the inside of it , flip it over and target it mighty on top of the one with the seeds in it . verify that no light is spilling through and put it in an area of the house that stay at about 70 degrees Fahrenheit ( 21 degrees Celsius ) .
That ’s it for the planting phase ! All you take to do now is cloud them every twelve hours or so for the first 3 - 4 days while they germinate and start to sprout . finger free to glint under the hood – it wo n’t harm them to contain on progress every now and then .
