Fall in the garden of a GPOD regular
This is Peggy Fox , in Gig Harbor , Washington . You said you were attend for photos of gardens in their fall musical mode ; here are some from this downslope and some from October a twelvemonth ago . I ’ve submitted photograph several times to GPOD in the past five or so years . ( If you missed those posts , check some of them out , bulge out here . You wo n’t be disappointed ! ) . Many of these are photos of the change from summertime to come — fall color but with summer things just finishing .
This lavender multifida ( Lavandula multifida , Zones 8–10 ) decide to send out a few more rosiness before the frost . Though not as inhuman hardy as some specie , this lavender realize up for it by blossom over a very long period .
The lovely little fall - bloomingSaxifrage fortunei‘Pink Elf ’ ( Zones 7–9 ) , from Dan Hinkley , nose up through go down genus Prunus leaves .

Berberis‘Helmond Pillar ’ ( Nipponese barberry , Zones 4–8 ) andHakonachloaaurea(Japanese forest sens , Zones 5–9 ) along the stone steps .

Redbud ‘ Forest Pansy ’ ( Cercis canadensis‘Forest Pansy ’ , Zones 5–9 ) andHakonachloaaurea .

Euphorbiaon a dewy fall morning .
Rosarugosa(Zones 2–9 ) , pampas grass ( Cortaderia selloana , Zones 7–11 ) , andCotinus‘Grace ’ contributing to settle ’s color scheme .

Echeveria ‘ Topsy Turvy ’ ( Echeveria runyonii‘Topsy Turvy ’ , Zones 9–11 ) . I fuck its salmony fall bloom !
Cotinus‘Grace ’
Hens and chicks ( Sempervivumspp . Zones 3–11 ) getting bronzy . Hens and chicks will develop the reddest colors if given brilliant Lord’s Day , coolheaded temperatures , and well - enfeeble grease .
